Aviation Focus Program

The new aviation program spaces include general classrooms, a specialized simulation lab, and a flexible innovation lab designed to support multiple curriculum areas. The innovation lab is organized into three dedicated zones: a main innovation lab for collaborative projects and experimentation, a power mechanics instruction zone for equipment-focused learning, and an Aviation 1 & 2 instruction zone supporting foundational aviation coursework. With extensive experience in educational environments, particularly Career and Technical Education (CTE) facilities, MEI understands the enhanced level of equipment coordination these spaces require and works closely with the design team to create environments that support hands-on instruction and evolving technologies.

Renovation

The project also included renovations to the school's existing areas to enhance other learning programs. Upgrades were made to the Art rooms and Career and Technical Education (CTE) spaces, and three family restrooms were added to improve accessibility and convenience for students and visitors. Interior lighting was upgraded throughout the renovated areas, incorporating smart lighting solutions designed by MEI’s in-house lighting studio to enhance comfort and visibility for students and educators while supporting energy efficiency goals. Additional building systems were thoughtfully integrated to optimize existing infrastructure and resources, creating high-performing, cost-conscious solutions that support a safe, welcoming, and future-ready learning environment.
