Features
University Village anchors a revitalized housing district, replacing the aging University Heights building with a carefully designed, three-story residence hall tailored to modern students' evolving needs. Designed to support a diverse residential population, including families, married students, and upperclassmen, the facility houses 130 students in a blend of one- and two-bedroom apartment-style units. The building's layout balances independence with community, providing comfortable private living quarters alongside shared amenities that encourage interaction and engagement.
At the center of the building, a central core efficiently organizes essential support functions, including mail services, a communal kitchen, custodial areas, and public restrooms. Each residential floor serves as a social hub, offering dedicated spaces for collaboration and multimedia, as well as convenient access to laundry facilities and waste disposal areas.
Morrissey Engineering delivered comprehensive mechanical, electrical, lighting, and technology design services, ensuring the building operates efficiently while providing a superior living experience. The result is a forward-thinking residential environment that harmonizes functionality, comfort, and community, establishing University Village as a cornerstone of campus life for years to come.
