Services

Features

Morrissey Engineering delivered comprehensive mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design services for the renovated tenant spaces for Husker Tech and Herbie's Market at the UNL City Campus Union, totaling approximately 3,100 square feet. The MEP design leveraged the building's existing central chilled water system and air-handling equipment, including ductwork, terminal units, and controls, which were strategically modified for the new layouts. Electrical upgrades included new power panels, energy-efficient lighting, and enhanced low-voltage systems. The renovation also incorporated fire protection, alarm systems, and life safety improvements to ensure compliance with current codes and UNL standards. Technology enhancements featured modern structured cabling pathways, a robust security camera system with 93 cameras, and upgraded network infrastructure to support efficient "grab and go" purchasing services.
