John Deere Worldwide Headquarters
On the John Deere Headquarters campus in Moline, Illinois, Morrissey Engineering was chosen to design an upgrade to the building's replacement heat rejection system installed in 1964.
Services
Features
- Building heat is rejected through 336 spray heads in one of the ponds adjacent to the building without using traditional mechanical equipment such as exterior cooling towers, which could distract from the lush campus landscape.
- Replacement condenser piping was routed in the pond in conjunction with pond dredging.
- Dredging occurred in sections with piping replacement phased to occur in conjunction with dredging.
- The pond is used for free cooling from mid-November until early April.
